Prepare ingredients

  • Wash beef, pat dry with paper towels. Slice the meat into 0.5cm - 1cm . thin pieces
  • Clean lemongrass, cut into pieces about 3cm. Wash the chili, remove the stalk. Peel the garlic and wash it.

Prepare the marinade

  • Put garlic, chili, lemongrass, ginger and a little cooking oil in a blender.
  • Then, add chili sauce, turmeric, cashew nut powder, five spice powder, oyster sauce, fish sauce, sugar, a mixture of garlic, chili, and lemongrass to marinate with the meat

Cooking fake beef jerky

  • Marinate each piece of meat to absorb the seasoning. Cover the meat with plastic wrap and place in the fridge to marinate overnight or for at least 4 hours.
  • After the marinating time, remove the meat, and prepare the oven and baking tray. Place the meat on a baking tray, and dry the meat at 115 degrees Celsius for 90 minutes.
  • Turn the meat every 30 minutes to cook evenly. Note, when drying meat, plug a small stick in the oven door for steam to escape, drying the meat.
  • When the meat is fragrant, dry, and crispy, you can take it out and enjoy.
